This is an open-source community project that helps Australians living in or visiting the Bay Area find one another.
Share what you're comfortable with
Every pin represents the centre of a neighbourhood. We don’t collect your exact address or GPS location. Publishing a profile shares your name, profile photo, job description, suburb, LinkedIn link, an optional contact email and visitor dates with people who can access this directory.
Coming and going
Resident profiles stay visible. Visitors appear from their arrival date through their departure date, inclusive, using San Francisco time. Your profile view always shows your saved entry and whether it is visible on the map.
Looking after the community
Members self-identify as Australian; this is not a nationality verification service. Three different directory profiles reporting a profile will hide it for seven days. Duplicate reports and self-reports don’t count. Editing a profile doesn’t remove a suspension.
Build with us
The code is MIT licensed. Anyone can open an issue, fork the project or propose a pull request. We will review contributions and decide what is merged and published. Public source does not mean public write access.
Australian companies in the Bay
Australian-founded or Australian-led companies can list their neighbourhood, description and website. Contact email is optional. You must be authorised to represent the company. Use the browser where you created your listing to edit or remove it. Listings are community-submitted and are not independently verified.
